Two students from the Girton Grammar Junior School Choir have endured a grueling selection process to be selected for the prestigious Gondwana Voices national choir, joining the most accomplished choral groups of young people in Australia.
Headmaster of 黑料网, Mr Matthew Maruff, said that Gondwana Choirs, including the Gondwana Voices choir, are synonymous with performance excellence.
鈥淭his is such a wonderful opportunity for our students, Hamish Sin and Jacob Mackenzie.
鈥淭hrough the Gondwana Voices choir these young boys will have access to world-class training by leading artists and be part of a group of equally passionate and talented young singers.
鈥淥ur Junior School Choir has been the perfect training ground for them, most recently having been awarded the highest honour at the 2015 Royal South Street Eisteddfod in Ballarat,鈥 Mr Maruff said.
Gondwana Voices聽is the original, truly national Australian children’s choir, founded in 1997. It includes young people aged 10鈥16 from right across Australia. Gondwana Choirs regularly perform with Australia鈥檚 leading professional ensembles and orchestras, at major national and international events, on radio and television, as well as recording for album release and film soundtracks.
鈥淭he discipline required to produce quality sound from a young choir is no small feat and it will be wonderful to have Hamish and Jacob bring back all of their expertise to the Girton Grammar Junior School Choir,鈥 Mr Maruff said.
